This Australian natural beeswax is 100% pure. It is collected by traditional beekeepers during the extraction of honey from hives located in South East Queensland.
The wax is filtered to remove any residual honey or debris before being formed into convenient 100-gram blocks. The colour of this wax varies from pale cream through deep golden tones to a dark chocolate colour, depending on what the bees have been foraging on.
Beeswax can be used as an art material, in homemade cosmetics and skincare, and to make candles or food wraps.
How to Use:
This pure Australian beeswax is extremely versatile and can be used for a wide variety of homemade household and skincare products or as an art material.
When combined with oil such as olive, coconut, linseed or walnut, it can be used to make shoe polish, or a wonderful wood and metal polish for floors and furniture.
Create your own natural candles or beeswax food wraps. Beeswax is also a fabulous ingredient to use in hand-made balms, salves and cosmetics. In the art room, this wax is perfect for casting moulds, sculpting or beautiful batik dyes.
It is important to take care when melting beeswax as it has a low melting point. This can cause the wax to boil and bubble. Melting beeswax should never be left unattended. It is best to melt wax in a double boiler over low heat, as you would melt chocolate.
