These Australian grown Yellow Split Peas are a small half pea with rich yellow colour and firm, smooth texture.
How To Use:
Yellow split peas have an earthy, nutty flavour and add colour and creaminess to soups and curries without the strong flavour of peas. They are a versatile pantry staple and can be used in hummus, salads and casseroles or make a spicy dahl with ginger, turmeric, cumin and cinnamon.
These cook in 35 to 45 mins and will be quite soft when ready. Alternatively, pre-soak to reduce cooking time to 25 mins. For creamier, soft peas continue cooking until desired consistency is achieved.
