Chlorella is an algae that grows in fresh water. The vivid dark green colour is from chlorella’s natural chlorophyll. This concentrated powder is a source of protein and has a wide range of vitamins & minerals. It has a distinct earthy flavour & aroma. Chlorella has strong cell walls that can reduce nutrient absorption – this ‘broken cell wall’ chlorella’s nutrients are more bioavailable & easily absorbed. It is cultivated in clean, unpolluted mineral-rich water, without the use of pesticides, herbicides or fertilisers. Contains no binding agents or fillers.
How to Use:
Add ½ – 2 teaspoons of this Chlorella powder to fresh juice, smoothies, acai bowls and sprinkled on top of muesli or porridge. Or try some in your salad dressings! It is also a great natural food colour that can be used in place of food dies for icing or to create bright green homemade ice treats the kids will love! It is best to add chlorella to cold foods, or at the end of cooking, to preserve the nutrients.
Storage:
Store in an airtight container in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight.
