White Chocolate Jewel Cookies are a true gem! Get the kids involved in baking and decorating them by placing the colourful crowning glory on the top.

These baked cookies freeze well, making them great to store in the freezer and add to school lunch boxes.


To Add:

  • 90g butter, melted
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Method:

  1. Preheat oven to 160˚C. Line two baking trays with silicone mats.
  2. Remove the choc jewels and chocolate buttons from the jar and set them aside.
  3. In a large bowl, using a handheld or stand mixer, beat butter, egg and vanilla Don’t worry if it looks lumpy, it will come together in the next step.
  4. Pour the remaining ingredients from the jar into the bowl. Mix on low until combined.
  5. Add chocolate buttons, stir them through Don’t add the choc jewels yet!
  6. Roll tablespoons of the dough into 20 balls and place on trays, about 6cm apart.
  7. Bake in the oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are firm but the centres are still soft.
  8. Remove from oven then wait 3 minutes before pushing a choc jewel into the centre of each cookie. Cool on trays.

Any leftover cookies can be stored in the jar for up to 7 days. Suitable for freezing.

Storage:

Store the jar in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.

Shelf Life:

Up to 6 months when stored above.
