This style is suited to east Indian cooking but can also be added to soups, rice dishes, meatballs, mayonnaise and dips if a little extra zing is on the menu.

How To Use:

Use as a flavour base when sautéing onions, vegetables and chickpeas for a rich and spicy curry.

Add 1 – 2 tsp to a creamy pumpkin soup or lentil dish for extra kick or mix with yoghurt for a fantastic dipping sauce.

Use as a rub for curried roast lamb or tandoori chicken.

Make curry sauce to serve over koftas, chicken or veggies. Sauté onion & garlic in oil. Add 400 mL tin tomatoes, simmer till thickened. Add 3 tsp curry powder & 1 tsp brown sugar then stir in 300 mL coconut milk and 1 tbs almond meal. Season to taste.
