This Australian grown and processed Dried Pineapple has a sweet and tangy fruity flavour and aroma, firm texture and natural golden colour. It contains no added sugar or preservatives, artificial colours or flavours and is non-GMO. Dried Pineapple slices are a delicious snack, great on hikes and road trips, or for school and work lunch boxes. They are a convenient pantry item, particularly when fresh Pineapples are out of season, and can be used in sweet or savoury recipes.
How to Use:
Enjoy this yummy Dried Pineapple as a snack on its own, perfect for lunch boxes, or combine with nuts and seed in a trail mix. Cut into small pieces and add to muesli or granola blends. Dried Pineapple can be pre-soaked in a little warm water or fruit juice to soften; then added to smoothies, or pureed for sauces to top puddings, yoghurt or ice cream sundaes.
Add diced dried pineapple to raw food treats and muesli bars, or include it in home-baked muffins and cakes. Stew pre-soaked pineapple for delicious desserts and compote. For a special treat dip half of pineapple-ring in melted chocolate, carob or yoghurt buttons.
Storage:
Store in an airtight container in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight. Refrigeration recommended in warm climates.
Shelf Life:
Up to 12 months when stored as above. See Best Before date.
