Epsom Salts, first discovered in Epsom, England, have traditionally been used for centuries as a valued source of Magnesium Sulphate. Epsom salts are a great addition to a relaxing bath or foot soak. Or use in compresses for weary joints and in place of wheat in soothing eye-bags.

Product Benefits:

Magnesium is an essential nutrient for good health – found in a variety of vegetables, nuts, legumes and dairy. It plays a role in regulating nerve and muscle function; supports the immune system and heart health, and helps to keep teeth and bones strong. As an alternative to oral supplements, these flakes can be used externally – allowing the magnesium to be absorbed through the skin. Magnesium can assist in relieving sore muscles and joints, calming stressed nerves; increased energy; better sleep; supporting the immune system and detoxing heavy metals.

How to Use:

Use 2-4 cups per bath and soak for 20 minutes or more. Take Epsom salt baths up to three times weekly. Start with a ½ cup to check for skin sensitivity. Increase to 2 cups of salt to a waist-deep warm bath. You can add 1/2 a cup of olive or coconut oil – but avoid soap. As a foot bath, pamper weary feet by adding 1/2 cup of Epsom salt to a basin of warm water. Relax and soak feet for 20 minutes. For extra luxury add a handful of rose petals or lavender. Epsom salts with dried flowers make a lovely gift. In the shower or bath, mix a handful of Epsom salt with a tablespoon of oil and rub all over your wet skin to exfoliate and soften. Natural Epsom Salts can also be used as a compress to ease tired joints or puffy eyes. Dissolve 4 tbsp of Epsom salts in about 500 ml of warm water (preferably filtered); soak cloth in water and fold over closed eyes or around joints.
