This naturally derived salt, that is less processed than other salts, has a distinct flavour and retains an abundance of minerals and trace elements.
How To Use:
This is a beautifully refined finishing salt, best sprinkled over dishes from a great height and with all the flair of a seasoned chef.
As it is naturally moist, serve it at the table in a small dish or salt crock rather than a shaker.
Infuse Celtic salt with flavours such as lemon and thyme or grind it with coriander, cumin, sesame seeds, peppercorns and a pinch of chilli for a delicious accompaniment to dipping oil and crusty bread.
Celtic salt has an exceptional flavour that is reminiscent of the sea, which is why chefs favour it for finishing seafood, meat, salads, vegetables and pasta where it can shine and enhance the dish.
The moist crystals also create a flakier texture when used in dough for pizza, bread or pastry.
Coat raw almonds with melted dark chocolate that has had a pinch of Celtic salt added. Sprinkle a little extra on each just before the chocolate sets. These make a wonderful gift & a decadent treat.
