These Almonds have been blanched and then shaved into thin flakes. They have a delicious creamy nut flavour, pale cream colour and firm, fresh texture. Our Flaked Almonds are Australian grown, non-GMO and have no added preservatives.
Flaked almonds are a convenient, natural ingredient to add extra crunch and flavour to cereals, trail mixes, baked goods and sweet or savoury recipes.
How to Use:
Flaked almonds are ready to eat and add to recipes as they are. Alternatively, lightly toast them in a dry pan, on low heat, to add extra colour and toasty flavour. Flaked almonds are great in muesli and granola, or sprinkle them over porridge or yoghurt.
A ready-to-eat snack, they are a delicious ingredient in trail mixes with seeds and dried fruit. These almonds are conveniently pre-flaked and ready to add to home-baked goods. Use them in muesli bars, seed and nut bread, biscuits, muffins, traditional fruit cake recipes and cake decorating.
Toasted almond flakes are a perfect crunchy topping for banana splits, ice cream sundaes, puddings, cake decorating, salads, stir-fries and hotpots.
