How to Use:
Marinate chicken pieces by drizzling with olive oil and sprinkling over the hot honey powder. Season with salt as desired. Massage into the chicken and leave for 2-3 hours in the fridge for flavours to develop. Roast marinated chicken pieces until golden and cooked through.
To make a sticky glaze for ribs or grilled meats, combine ¼ cup of the flavour shake with ¼ cup of water in a saucepan. Bring to a boil and simmer until the glaze has reduced and it has a sticky, syrupy consistency. Brush over seasoned meats and finish grilling or barbequing until the glaze is golden. Be careful not to leave the meat cooking for too long as the honey can burn.
Sprinkle the flavour shake powder over cooked carrots for a spicy twist on traditional honey carrots.
Drizzle olive oil and the hot honey powder over a camembert cheese wheel that has been scored gently with a knife. Use an air fryer or oven to cook the cheese for a few minutes until warm and gooey. Serve with crusty bread.
Use as a popcorn topper on freshly popped popcorn. Add 1 ½ tbs oil to a large pot with lid on a medium heat. Once the oil is heated, add in 50g of popcorn, and return the lid. Shake the pot gently while on the heat and after a minute or two the corn kernels will begin to pop. Remove from the heat when two seconds pass between pops. Pour into a large bowl and sprinkle over the flavour shake, shaking the bowl to evenly cover the popcorn. Alternatively, cook the popcorn in a pot without oil and then drizzle with melted butter before sprinkling over the flavour shake.
