How to Use:
Make a classic ranch dressing by combining ½ cup sour cream with ¼ to ½ cup buttermilk, depending on your desired consistency. Add 1 ½ tsp of flavour shake and 1 to 2 tsp lemon juice. Mix well, season with salt and pepper and set aside in the fridge for 30 minutes to allow the flavours to develop. You can substitute the buttermilk powder by making your own at home. Simply stir 1 tbs lemon juice into 1 cup milk of your choice. Set aside for 5 to 10 minutes until you see the milk curdle slightly. Classic ranch is delicious to dress leafy salads or use as a dip for spicy chicken wings or potato wedges.
Create a creamy and delicious potato salad dressing by combining ½ cup of mayonnaise, ½ cup sour cream and 1.5 tbs of the ranch powder in a bowl. Mix well, cover and set aside in the fridge for at least half an hour to allow the flavours to develop. Add diced cooked potato, spring onion and any other potato salad ingredients you wish. Season to taste.
Combine 20 g butter with ½ tsp of the flavour shake. Set it in the fridge. Use the flavoured butter to top grilled seafood and fish fillets. The herbed butter also complements steamed vegetables and baked potatoes.
Lightly oil mixed nuts and sprinkle over the ranch powder. Air fry for a few minutes until golden and crunchy. Use the same method with diced bread cubes to make homemade croutons.
Use as a popcorn topper on freshly popped popcorn. Add 1 ½ tbs oil to a large pot with lid on a medium heat. Once the oil is heated, add in 50g of popcorn, and return the lid. Shake the pot gently while on the heat and after a minute or two the corn kernels will begin to pop. Remove from the heat when two seconds pass between pops. Pour into a large bowl and sprinkle over the flavour shake, shaking the bowl to evenly cover the popcorn. Alternatively, cook the popcorn in a pot without oil and then drizzle with melted butter before sprinkling over the flavour shake.
