Prepacked in a handy glass jar, Rice Malt Syrup is a delectable and convenient sweetener that can be used in place of sugar, honey or the like. This rice malt syrup is non-GMO and contains no added preservatives. It is made entirely from Certified Organic brown rice that has been cultured. This syrup has a natural sweet flavour, a little like toffee, a rich golden colour and a smooth thick consistency. Rice Malt syrup can be used in beverages, as a topping and in sweet or savoury recipes.
How to Use:
This Rice Malt Syrup is a delicious sweetener in hot beverages, especially herbal or black teas. It can also be dissolved in a little warm water and added to iced tea. Enjoy this natural syrup at breakfast time – drizzled on porridge, muesli or yoghurt, on toast, crumpets or pancakes. Rice malt syrup is also yummy in smoothies, particularly green leaf blends. Use it in raw food recipes including chia puddings, Acai bowls, slices and super balls.
Raw organic rice malt syrup can be used as a sweetener in any dessert or savoury dish. Where quantities of sugar or sweetener are used in a recipe, 25% more of this syrup will be needed to achieve the same level of sweetness. As a direct sugar replacement, use 1¼ C of rice malt syrup for each cup of sugar and reduce the liquid in the recipe by ¼ C.
Wonderful in homemade biscuit, muffin, bread and cake recipes. Rice malt syrup is also delectable in marinades and sauces, with tofu or tempeh, and is wonderful for basting roasts or drizzled over baked carrots and sweet potato. A little rice syrup can be used to give sweetness to soups, stir-fries or hotpots, and is great in salad dressings – especially with mustard.
