A mix of preserved orange and lemon peel that is ready to use in desserts, baked goods and even savoury recipes. Mixed citrus peel (aka Candied peel) has a firm texture with a great citrus flavour and aroma – sweet and tart.
How to Use:
Mixed citrus peel is convenient and easy to use. Include it in home-baked muffins and cakes, fruit bread, biscuit and muesli bar recipes. A must in traditional mince tarts and boiled fruit cakes. Use mixed peel in dessert recipes – especially good in steamed puddings, slices, compote, or ice cream and gelato. It is also a great ingredient to add to pickles and chutneys, stuffing mixes, and salt rubs for meat or fish. Or add directly to slow-cooked curries and stews.
Storage:
Store in an airtight container in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight.
Refrigeration recommended in warm climates.
Shelf Life:
Up to 12 months when stored as above. See Best Before date.
