Currently unavailable at this locationCertified Organic Activated Buckinis are absolutely scrumptious clusters of raw buckwheat kernels that have been soaked in filtered water to activate; washed and rinsed; then dehydrated at a low temperature (under 40o C). Buckwheat is not actually a variety of wheat – or even a grain, but a fruit seed botanically related to sorrel and rhubarb. Activated Buckinis make a delicious hot or cold breakfast, a quick and convenient natural snack or a wonderful ingredient in raw food, dessert and baking recipes, or savoury dishes.
How to Use:
For breakfast enjoy grain-free Activated Buckinis with chilled dairy or plant milk, yoghurt or fruit salad. Add some to your favourite muesli, granola, or porridge. In the winter add Buckinis to milk and gently warm over low heat.
Buckinis are a delectable natural snack on their own or add it to your favourite hiker’s mix. They are also a wonderful ingredient for raw food treats and superfood balls; chia puddings and vegan chocolate; or sprinkled over ice cream.
Add Buckinis to your favourite cookie, muffin and cake recipes; or caramelise to use it on top of cheesecakes and luscious desserts. As this activated buckwheat is not sweetened it is also a perfect addition to salads, soups and hearty hotpots.
Storage:
Store in an airtight container in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight. Refrigeration recommended in warm climates.
