Often referred to as an ancient grain, amaranth is technically a seed and has a firm texture and slightly earthy, nutty flavour.
It is naturally free of gluten.
How To Use:
Make porridge and serve it with fruit and yoghurt.
Amaranth can also be swapped with cracked wheat in tabouli and can be added raw or activated to bread and muffin recipes for texture.
Amaranth can be sprouted in a jar and will be ready for sandwiches and salads in just 4 days.
Storage:
Store in an airtight container in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight. See Best Before date.
