Linseeds, also called flaxseeds, have a fresh nutty, slightly buttery flavour. These Australian grown Golden Linseeds are Certified Organic. They have been grown without the use of synthetic chemicals or fertilisers, have no added preservatives and are non-GMO. Golden linseeds can be used in the same ways as the brown variety – as an ingredient in LSA; added to baking recipes; or sprinkled on sweet or savoury dishes.
How to Use:
It is best to grind or ‘crack’ linseeds before using, or chew them very well otherwise, they can pass through the body undigested. Use a rolling pin, mortar & pestle or blender. Organic Golden Linseeds can be ground with almonds and sunflower seeds to make fresh LSA. Ground linseeds, or LSA, can be added to smoothies, acai bowls, and millet or oat porridge.
It is also a wonderful addition to baked muffins and cookies, or add whole or ‘cracked’ linseeds to bread mixes. Add linseeds to muesli bars and energy balls. Sprinkle golden linseeds over cereal, yoghurt, salads, steamed veggies, soups or hotpots.
Storage:
Store in an airtight container in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight. Refrigeration recommended in warm climates. See Best Before date.
