Millet has a subtle, slightly nutty flavour and can be easily cooked so that it is light and fluffy or until deliciously creamy.
Versatile and convenient millet is great for breakfast, baking, desserts and savoury recipes.
How To Use:
Millet can be cooked two ways. Cook it so that it’s light and fluffy for salads and side dishes or, for a deliciously creamy breakfast porridge, cook it for longer in your choice of milk.
To make fluffy millet, put 1 cup seed and 2 cups water or broth in a saucepan. Bring to the boil then simmer, covered, for 18-20 mins. Let sit covered for 10 mins then fluff with a fork.
Millet can also be cooked directly in a soup or casserole and it reheats well.
Storage:
Store in an airtight container in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight. See Best Before date.
