Linseeds, also called flaxseeds, have a fresh nutty flavour.
They are versatile and can be added to baking recipes or sprinkled on sweet or savoury dishes.
How To Use:
Linseed are a conundrum. If you leave them whole, they pass through the body undigested and you miss out on their incredible nutritional benefits.
But, once you grind them, they need to be used within a few weeks.
So, our tip is to buy them whole and then crack them when you need them.
Hit them with a rolling pin, grind them with a mortar and pestle or blitz them with a blender. They’re worth the effort and you will feel better for it.
Storage:
Store in an airtight container in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight. See Best Before date.
