Besan Flour is milled from dried chickpeas and is also known as garbanzo or gram flour. It has a delicious nutty flavour, sweet aroma and light yellow colour.
How To Use:
This is a very handy, wheat free flour for binding or thickening and one of the best for fritters and deep frying.
Use it to replace eggs in burgers and veggie patties, first making a thick paste with cold water before adding to the mix.
Make amazing Indian fritters with pakora batter using besan flour and spices such as cumin, turmeric, chilli, fenugreek and coriander.
Coat vegetables and deep fry. Serve with yoghurt dipping sauce.
