Guar gum is made from dried guar beans and has an off-white colour, a light natural flavour with an earthy aroma.
How To Use:
This flour-like powder can be used as a thickener in place of flour in gravies, soups and sauces and also as an emulsifier in cold foods such as ice cream.
When baking cakes, muffins, pizza dough and cookies using gluten free flours, add ½ tsp guar gum for each cup of flour to give the sticky quality that gluten would normally achieve.
