A traditional whole food of the Incans, Maca is a root vegetable from the Brassicas (cruciferous) family. This Certified Organic Maca powder is grown and harvested by Indigenous communities in the Peruvian Andes; who have been cultivating and utilising Maca for thousands of years. It has been minimally processed – simply dried and ground; and is free of any artificial additives or preservatives. Maca powder is a light fawn colour, with a subtle nutty flavour and aroma, and a soft texture. It is a delicious addition to cold beverages, breakfast dishes and raw food recipes.
How to Use:
Add 1 -2 teaspoons of Organic Maca Powder to your favourite smoothie, coconut water or juice. Sprinkle over yoghurt and fresh fruit, porridge, breakfast cereals and Acai bowls.
Delicious raw Maca root powder can be added to raw ice cream or chocolate, chia puddings, and yummy ‘super’ ball or slice recipes.
Storage:
Store in an airtight container in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight. Refrigeration recommended in warm climates.
