Organic Pearled Barley is a hearty, tasty grain with a light nutty flavour and delightful chewy texture.
It is an easy grain to use as the outer hull has been removed so that it doesn’t need presoaking.
How To Use:
Simply throw it into soups and stews at the start but you can also cook it separately for amazing pearl barley salads. Try it with feta and pine nuts.
To cook, simmer 1 cup barley and 3 cups water or stock, covered, for about 45 mins. When tender, fluff grains up with a fork.
Try making delicious pearl barley risotto with pumpkin and spinach.
