Quinoa is traditionally grown and widely eaten in South America. Quinoa flour has a slightly sweet, nutty flavour and is a pale beige colour.
How To Use:
Made from the whole quinoa seed, this flour creates deliciously soft baked goods such as donuts, pancakes and cakes but is equally tasty for baking bread.
It can be used to replace up to ¼ of the wheat flour in bread recipes or combine with buckwheat, brown rice or tapioca flour for a gluten free loaf.
Quinoa flour works well with almond meal and coconut flour for pastry and biscuits. A little more liquid may be needed for baking.
