Most commonly used as a tea, put 1 to 2 tsp in an infuser and place in hot water for about 5 minutes. Sweeten with honey or sugar.
Spearmint adds a lovely flavour to sauces or marinades and is great with chicken or fish.
Add a minty twist to desserts and baked goods. A strong infusion is particularly delicious with chocolate and ice cream.
How To Use:
In Cyprus, dried mint is often used to season halloumi since the two go hand in hand. Make mint & halloumi muffins or combine the two in pasta with a squeeze of lemon.
Try hearty Ezogelin soup. A Turkish bourghal, rice and red lentil soup with red chilli flakes and dried mint. It’s easy to make, really tasty and very nutritious.
To make a soothing tea, infuse 1 – 2 tsp in hot water and sweeten with honey.
