This Australian-grown Wheat Grain is Certified Organic and has been produced without the use of synthetic fertiliser or sprays. It is non-GMO and has no added preservatives.
Wheat Grain has a fresh, slightly nutty flavour and aroma. This versatile grain can be sprouted, made into flour, or cooked in sweet or savoury recipes.
They’re also easy to sprout for stir fries and salads.
How to Use:
Organic Wheat Grain can be sprouted and grown for fresh wheatgrass. This wheat is also perfect for grinding, to produce fresh whole grain all-purpose flour for baking or general cooking recipes. Wheat grain can also be cooked and used as an ingredient in salads, soups, hotpots or puddings.
Bring 1 part wheat and 3 parts water to a boil in a covered pot. Simmer for 30 minutes, before turning the heat off. Leave to stand, with the lid on, for 8-12 hours. Drain excess liquid and use immediately, or refrigerate in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
Alternatively, add wheat directly to plenty of stock or broth and simmer for about 3 hours, or until tender. Wheat can be pre-soaked for several hours to reduce cooking time.
Sprouting Wheat Grain:
Wheat Grain is easy to sprout in a glass jar and is ready to eat in just 2 to 4 days. Have crunchy, nutritious sprouts for salads, sandwiches and stir fries at a fraction of the price of buying them.
