Pearl couscous, also known as Israeli or Jerusalem couscous and is great as a main meal or as a side dish.
Couscous is chewy and has a unique, rich nutty flavour and a smooth, almost buttery mouthfeel. It is very versatile in many recipes and absorbs sauces and herbs well.
How To Use:
Pearl couscous can be served with curries and hotpots instead of rice or pair it with your favourite sauce as you would pasta.
Chilled pearl couscous makes a great base for a Mediterranean salad.
These pretty pearls are delicious added to broths or soups in the last 10 minutes.
For extra flavour, uncooked pearls can be toasted for a few minutes in a little butter or oil before adding to simmering liquid for 8-10 minutes to finish cooking.
Storage:
Store in an airtight container in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight. See Best Before date.
