These dried slices of sweet papaya are grown and processed in Australia. They do not contain any added sugar or preservatives, artificial flavours or colours. Papaya slices make a delicious and convenient snack that is perfect for road trips and hikes or to pop into a lunch box. It is also great in sweet or savoury recipes. This natural dried fruit is a handy addition to the pantry, particularly when fresh Papaya is not in season.
How to Use:
Pop some of this scrumptious dried papaya in to a lunch box or picnic basket as a convenient snack. Mix with seed and nuts to make a hikers mix. Add diced pieces to your granola or muesli blend. Mix some diced papaya through muesli bars, raw food treats, cakes or muffin. Soak dried papaya in a little warm fruit juice or water to soften before adding to smoothies. Puree to make a topping for yoghurt, ice cream sundaes or puddings. Gently stew pre-soaked slices for irresistible compote or dessert recipes.
Dip half of each slice of dried papaya in melted carob, chocolate or yoghurt buttons to create a special treat or cake decoration.
Dried papaya is also delicious in savoury dishes. Try some in homemade chutney. Dice and add to stuffing mixes, toss through a rice salad or replace sultanas in a cous cous recipe.
Storage:
Store in an air tight container in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight. Refrigeration recommended in warm climates.
