Macadamias are native to Australia. Raw Macadamias have a firm, crisp texture, with a delicious creamy nut flavour and subtle fresh aroma.
These premium raw Macadamia nuts, grown and naturally processed in Australia, have nothing artificial added and are non-GMO. A yummy and convenient snack, these raw nuts are also suitable for activating and to make fresh ground nut butter or dairy-free mylk.
Macadamias are a fabulous ingredient in sweet and savoury recipes; raw food treats; and home-baked goods.
How to Use:
Raw Macadamias can be enjoyed on their own as a quick snack, or combined with dried fruit and seeds to create a moreish trail mix. Added roughly chopped Macadamias to muesli; smoothies; acai bowls; and oat or quinoa porridge. Activate raw nuts by soaking in water for 12 hours, before slowly dehydrating at very low heat. Soaked nuts are great for dairy-free fresh mixed nut mylk – just drain, blend with 6 parts water (optional: add a little honey or coconut nectar &/or a pinch of salt), then strain through a clean cloth. Nut mylk will keep for several days, refrigerated in an airtight jar. Macadamias can also be ground for scrumptious fresh nut butter. For a little variety everyone will love – add some coconut flakes or a few cacao nibs before blending. Use Macadamias in crumbing for fish or meat and in stuffing. Sprinkle chopped nuts over salads, stir-fries and hot pots. Delicious in raw food sweet or savoury recipes; and in home-baked bread, muffins, cakes and biscuits. Great to have in the pantry, convenient Macadamias are also wonderful when entertaining, or make a lovely Australian gift.
