This is a naturally caffeine-free blend of roasted dandelion and chicory roots that makes a great alternative to coffee and black tea. It has a rich earthy flavour and aroma. Roasted Dandelion is delicious as a hot or chilled beverage.
How to Use:
Roasted Dandelion can be brewed in a teapot, saucepan or infuser. Use 1 teaspoon of dandelion per cup (plus one for the pot!). Pour in freshly boiled water. Steep for 5 – 8 mins. Milk of choice and/or sweetener may be added – we love local honey. Alternatively, dandelion can be added directly to a saucepan of gently warmed milk (diluted 50-50 with water if desired). Add honey and heat gently on a very low temperature for 5 – 8 minutes – depending on desired strength. Strain and serve. This natural beverage can also be served chilled with plenty of ice.
Storage:
Store in an airtight container in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight.
