These Almonds have been blanched and then sliced into thin slivers. They have a delicious creamy nut flavour and a firm, crunchy texture.
How To Use:
Slivered almonds are handy to have in the pantry for home baked fruit and nut bread, cookies, muffins and traditional fruit cakes.
Use them raw or toasted in muesli bars, over salads or rice dishes.
Make a delicious side dish by lightly toasting them in a dry pan on low heat for just a few minutes and setting them aside.
Then sauté green vegetables such as asparagus, beans or broccolini in garlic, sprinkle the almonds over the top and finish with Celtic salt.
