How to Use:
This flavoursome stuffing blend can be used in so many ways as a filling for poultry, meat or vegetable. Combine with a little olive oil and spread over a fillet of lamb or beef before rolling, tying with string and grilling or roasting. Mix with cooked rice or quinoa and fill capsicums or a whole pumpkin (seeds scooped out) and bake.
To make a wonderful, traditional stuffing – mix a few tablespoons of this seasoning (depending on how much stuffing you are making) with crumbs made from day-old bread. A wholemeal or crusty loaf gives a great texture. For a gluten-free option use rice crumbs. Add a little olive oil to combine. Or substitute crumbs with your choice of quinoa, barley or lentils that have been cooked al dente and well-drained. You can add some cranberries or currants or even grated apple for a fruity twist.
You can also use this herb mix as a complete seasoning to add tempting aromas and delicious flavours to any savoury dish – just omit or adjust any additional salt and pepper in your recipe.
Add to soups, pasta sauces and hotpots. Great in marinades or sauces for tempeh or tofu, lamb, beef or chicken. Sprinkle over thick slices of sweet potato, cauliflower or eggplant and drizzle with oil before baking. Perfect for tasty roasted spuds.
