This is a natural, all purpose gourmet salt which has a complex, well rounded flavour without the sharpness of refined salts.
Hand harvesting and minimal processing helps to retain the concentrated store of mineral nutrients.
How To Use:
This gourmet salt is from a naturally fed lake in western Victoria which dries out each summer leaving beds of beautiful, mineral rich pink salt.
A small amount is hand harvested in conjunction with the Barengi Gadjin Land Council and then naturally sun dried. This unique salt imparts a rich flavour that enhances any dish. Use it in a salt grinder, mortar and pestle or keep some in a caddy near the stove.
Add during cooking so that it melts into the food or lightly sprinkle it over dishes when serving. It can be crumbled between your fingers for smaller granules.
Pink lake salt is suitable for use in a grinder or mill or serve it at the table in small pinch dishes.
