Currants are produced from small seedless black grapes that have been dried. These naturally sweet currants are smaller and firmer than sultanas. They are packed with intense fruity flavour and have a deep purple-black colour.
How To Use:
Currants can be used in place of other dried fruit in just about any baked treat. Try them in sweet scones, tarts and fruit slices.
Mix with muesli, granola or yoghurt for breakfast or simply enjoy them with seeds and nuts for a healthy snack.
Stir currants through rice, couscous or quinoa, curries and hotpots.
Combine with nut butter or tahini to use in wraps or to dip into with celery sticks.
Use currants in pickles, chutney and stuffing.
Storage:
Store in an airtight container in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight. See Best Before date.
