Caster sugar is a very fine granulated white sugar that is free-flowing and dissolves easily. This caster sugar is grown and processed in Australia.
Caster sugar is excellent for baking and dessert recipes that require fine sugar. It adds volume to baked goods and a lighter texture to desserts. This is the sugar to use if an American recipe calls for ‘superfine granulated sugar’.
How to Use:
Caster sugar is a perfect choice for baking when a lighter sugar is required, like pastries, sponge cakes and souffles. It is wonderful for dessert recipes including fluffy meringues, mousses and puddings, custard, sorbets and gelato. Delicious sprinkled over fresh berries. Because caster sugar dissolves so well it is great in homemade cordials and syrups.
Storage:
Store in an airtight container in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight. Refrigeration recommended in warm climates.
Shelf Life:
Up to 24 months when stored as above. See Best Before date.
