Epsom Salts, first discovered in Epsom, England, have traditionally been used for centuries. These Epsom salts (Magnesium Sulphate) are from natural deposits in Germany. They are chemically pure and certified Food Grade Natural.

Magnesium is an essential nutrient for good health – found in a variety of vegetables, nuts, legumes and dairy. It plays a role in regulating nerve and muscle function; supports the immune system and heart health, and helps to keep teeth and bones strong.

As an alternative to oral supplements, these flakes can be used externally – allowing the magnesium to be absorbed through the skin. Magnesium can assist in relieving sore muscles and joints, calming stressed nerves; increased energy; better sleep; supporting the immune system and detoxing heavy metals.

Epsom salts are a great addition to a relaxing bath or foot soak. Or use in compresses for weary joints and in place of wheat in soothing eye-bags.

How to Use:

Take Epsom salt baths up to three times weekly. Start with a ½ cup to check for skin sensitivity. Increase to 2 cups of salt to a waist-deep warm bath. You can add 1/2 a cup of olive or coconut oil – but avoid soap.

As a foot bath, pamper weary feet by adding 1/2 cup of Epsom salt to a basin of warm water. Relax and soak feet for 20 minutes. For extra luxury add a handful of rose petals or lavender. Epsom salts with dried flowers make a lovely gift. In the shower or bath, mix a handful of Epsom salt with a tablespoon of oil and rub all over your wet skin to exfoliate and soften.

Natural Epsom Salts can also be used as a compress to ease tired joints or puffy eyes. Dissolve 4 tbsp of Epsom salts in about 500 ml of warm water (preferably filtered); soak a cloth in water and fold over closed eyes or around joints.

Storage:

Store in an airtight container in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight.
