This organic falafel mix is not only quick and easy to use, it is also absolutely delicious. Australian grown certified organic chickpeas are simply ground and blended with tasty spices and a touch of salt. Falafels are delicious in pita pockets, wraps, on an antipasto plate, or simply served with a plate of fresh salad and a dollop of hummus or yoghurt.
How to Use:
To prepare this scrumptious recipe you will need 1 cup (200 g) falafel mix, ½ a medium onion, a handful of fresh parsley (or other herbs of choice), and water to combine. Place all ingredients except the water in a blender and combine well. Gradually add water until the ingredients make a thick paste. Allow to sit for 15 minutes. Press into walnut-sized spoonfuls. Makes about 12 balls. Gently shallow or deep fry. Alternatively, this mix can be barbecued, oven baked or cooked in a sandwich press.
Serve with tzatziki, or your favourite yogurt sauce, and maybe a dash of chilli. Pop into a pita or wrap or simply enjoy with a bowl of fresh salad.
For something different prepare the recipe as above then add 2 cups of grated cauliflower and a little more water if the mix is crumbly. Cook as above.
Storage:
Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Refrigeration recommended in warm climates.
