Psyllium Husks are the outer layer of Psyllium Seeds (Plantago Ovata), a plant native to India with a mild nutty flavour and aroma.
How To Use:
Psyllium is a type of fibre that gently supports the digestive system but the trick is to start with a small amount first then increase up to 1tsp daily over several days, if needed, and also to stay hydrated.
Blend into water, juice or smoothies or sprinkle over cereal, porridge or yoghurt.
It’s great in raw food treats like energy balls and slices.
It can also be used to slightly thicken soups and hotpots and is often in seed cracker recipes to help hold the ingredients together.
Storage:
Store in an airtight container in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight. See Best Before date.
