Our Sunny Seed Crackers are a recipe in a bag to make crisp, savoury crackers.
They have Australian-grown insecticide-free sunflowers seeds and a medley of other seeds.
Just combine with warm water, bake and enjoy the aroma of warm seeds wafting from the oven.
To Add:
• 490mL lukewarm water
Optional, for variation also add:
• 2 tbs nutritional yeast flakes
• Dried herbs or chilli flakes
Method:
1. Preheat oven to 160˚C.
2. In a bowl, mix the contents of the bag and any optional ingredients with the water.
3. Let stand for around 15 minutes to allow the water to absorb and the mix to slightly thicken to a gooey consistency.
4. Stir the mixture again, then spread a thin, even layer onto a large oven tray.
5. Bake for 1 hour, then mark cutting lines.
6. Return to oven and bake for a further 30 to 60 minutes, depending on the thickness.
7. Turn the oven off and leave the crackers in the oven for an hour to further dry and crisp.
8. Remove from oven and allow to cool completely. Cut or break into pieces.
Store in an airtight container.
A great pantry staple to whip up with some fresh hummus or your favourite dip.
