Xylitol is a sugar-free sweetener, naturally extracted from birch trees.
The free-flowing, white crystal-like granules of xylitol have a taste and aroma similar to white sugar.
How To Use:
Xylitol is a suitable 1:1 replacement for sugar in many recipes including when sweetening hot beverages or liquids.
Whilst xylitol bakes similar to sugar, it won’t give the same texture or moisture and won’t brown in the same way.
To get used to cooking with it, start with recipes written especially for xylitol so that you can see how it cooks.
Storage:
Store in an airtight container in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight. See Best Before date.
