These golden coloured legumes are Certified Organic and have a sweet, slightly nutty flavour and aroma when cooked.
Split chickpeas are the base for healthy and authentic chana dahl with onions, tomato, whole spices, turmeric, cumin and chilli powder.
How To Use:
Commonly used in hearty soups, smooth Indian curries and tasty salads. Cooled dahl can be added to fresh salads, spicy curries, casseroles and veggie burgers.
Presoak for 4 hours in cold water or 30 mins in a vacuum flask with boiling water. They will take a further 35 mins to cook on the stovetop in a broth or stew or for 11 minutes in a pressure cooker. They should be softened but slightly firm to the bite. Drain to use.
