This premium Organic pasta is made in Bolivia at an ethical processing facility that is committed to four principals: environmental protection, social development, economic development and total transparency. The processor is certified to be Organic and Gluten Free, as well as holding a ‘Fair for Life’ certification – ensuring good and fair working conditions. They employ a high percentage of women, support new mothers to return to work, and run a program to employ people with disabilities. The Amaranth is sourced through a long term partnership with a co-op of traditional farmers from their family owned, small farm plots.
This pasta contains no added starch, vegetable gum or preservatives and is non-GMO. Organic Brown Rice, Quinoa and Amaranth Penne stands out for its delectable flavour and excellent cooking quality, holding its shape and texture well. Perfect for all your favourite pasta dishes, as well as in delicious soups and fresh salads. This wonderful Organic Penne will be enjoyed by anyone who loves beautiful food.
How to Use:
Add the pasta to plenty of boiling water with a little salt. Cook uncovered for about 13-15 minutes, or until pasta is ‘al dente’ and has almost doubled in size. This organic pasta holds its shape and reheats well in sauce. Add a few handfuls to soups and hotpots. It is also great for pasta salad. Combine with your favourite finely cut fresh vegetables like capsicum, green beans, mushrooms, purple onion and corn and dress with a light vinaigrette dressing. Or try chargrilled Mediterranean veggies with fetta, olives and prosciutto.
Storage:
Store in an airtight container in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
Shelf Life:
Up to 24 months when stored as above. See Best Before date.
