Our Dahl In A Dash with Aromatic Spices is a recipe-in-a-jar suitable for vegans, this recipe is GMO-free and has no artificial additives or preservatives.
Red and green lentils combined with mild aromatic spices are the base for this warming meal. The perfect solution for busy weeknights, just add a few ingredients to complete this hearty dish. Before you know it, the aroma of a steaming hotpot will be wafting from the kitchen.
Try serving the Dahl In A Dash over rice or quinoa for a heartier meal. For a festive touch, garnish with fresh cilantro and a squeeze of lime, or serve with crusty bread and a side salad.
To Add:
• 1 tbs coconut oil or ghee
• 4 Roma tomatoes, chopped
• 1 onion, chopped
• 3 cups water or preferred stock
• Fresh coriander to garnish
Method:
1. Melt coconut oil or ghee in a large pot and sauté the onion and tomatoes until soft.
2. Add the contents of the jar and stir for 2 minutes.
3. Pour in water or stock and bring to the boil.
4. Reduce heat and simmer for approximately 20 minutes or until lentils are tender.
5. Serve with steamed rice and garnish with fresh coriander.
Any leftover dahl can be returned to the jar and stored in the fridge for up to two days.
Perfect for a quick dinner or for an easy meal to take camping.
