These Australian grown Yellow Split Peas are Certified Organic, a small half pea with rich yellow colour and firm, smooth texture.
How To Use:
Yellow split peas have an earthy, nutty flavour and add colour and creaminess to soups and curries without the strong flavour of peas. They are a versatile pantry staple and can be used in hummus, salads and casseroles or make a spicy dahl with ginger, turmeric, cumin and cinnamon.
These cook in 35 to 45 mins and will be quite soft when ready. Alternatively, presoak to reduce cooking time to 25 mins. For creamier, soft peas continue cooking until desired consistency is achieved.
